Assurance rather than another inventory
Different platforms know different things about the same asset. Sentrel records those relationships without trying to become another CMDB.
Examples of useful exceptions
- Nutanix host exists with no matching ServiceDesk asset
- Active server has no recognised endpoint protection
- Production VM has no matching backup protection
- Network device exists but is absent from the asset register
- Asset is marked retired but remains active in infrastructure
- Critical asset has no accountable owner
